Unprecedented public sector activity in tenders for merchant acquiring services!

In January 2016, South Somerset District Council tendered for a new contract to provide merchant acquiring services. Six responses were received to the tender document and a new contract was awarded in March 2016.  

BRC Consulting Services assisted throughout the tender process including preparation of the required tender document, providing an independent evaluation of the tender responses, and participation in clarification meetings with each of the bidders.  

As a result of the tender, it is estimated that the Council will save c£50k per year in merchant acquiring costs.
